Homebound- One of my Instastory pics today.
We are now back home after a wonderful, fun and relaxing week in Greece. It was a charter trip with Tui, and I have to say everything was great, easy vacay life. Even though there were lots of activities (the boys loved the soccer, water polo and kids club) it was still a quite place, the people who worked there were great, super impressed by the entrainment team, kids club was awesome, and the food!! Oh my, I miss it already, it was delicious! I did not expect that at all. We flew direct from Norrköping to Rhodes, about 3,5h flight, and Norrköping is only about 45 minutes away from our house and it’s a small airport – means quick and easy!
What type of vacation type are you?! At home I’m always very active and have a hard time to just let things be, I’m always on the go, from morning till night. But, on vacations like this I turn into the laziest person on earth, haha. I’m reading a book and only leave the sun chair (even to the point in life that I enjoy the shade :) for lunch, swim, or play with the kids. But they even love to spend a few hours a day at the kids club so for real, I can be lazy :) But today I at least left the sun chair for a bit and took some pictures.
Every time we pass the outdoor gym we need to make a quick work out stop.
We are staying at Atlantica Aegean Park at the island Rhodes and it’s really good. It’s an all inclusive resort with ‘Bamse kids club’ and I’m impressed! The food is delicious and the entertainment team and kids club are amazing! Tonight I went wild and ordered a bottled of Sauvignon Blanc and stayed up late with my brother and Kirre, while hubby and the kiddos went to bed :)
What a day – Good night from a tipsy me, it’s time to get some rest. Tomorrow we have a car booked, even ‘lazy vacation me’ is looking forward to leave the resort for a day and explore the island!
Vacay mode is on! We are in Greece on the island Rhodes and it’s so nice. We are here with my brother Jörgen, Kirre and nephew Melker. Kirre is actually greek, her mom lives in Greece, so I feel I need to learn some greek before the week is over! I have at least been eating delicious gyros, tzatziki and greek salad every day :) So far we’ve been lazy and just enjoying the resort, but we are planning to rent a car so we can explore the island.
Passports, and a new nice computer case from Target.
Hello from Sweden! We made it after some issues… Oh my, for you who have seen my Instastory from Monday knows what happened. All my bragging in my last post about being all done with no stress and that I’ve learned from thirteen years of traveling between The States and Sweden… bla bla bla. But we all know that THE ONLY thing you really need when you travel is valid passport. And nope, we didn’t have that, Oliver’s was EXPIRED by a week, they told us at the airport!! So Johan and Eddie-Bo flew home as planned and Oliver and I ended up staying, I mean we had no choice… and got a new passport done the next day in Downtown Detroit, and we made it back to Sweden arriving Tuesday instead on Monday! Puh…
And then it took me a few days to find my Swedish cellphone… and Johan’s didn’t work… and no internet. But now all that is fixed!
Volcano Bay at closing time. A super cool water park with many fun slides. We closed that place two times, and we learned that the afternoons and evenings were the best time to be there. In the mornings, not so much fun. The capacity is 6500 (!!!) and even with prepaid tickets it took us an hour to get in, and it was so crazy and I remember I was thinking at that time I’m never ever getting back here! But this turned out to be my favorite park. I love rides and speed and I’m turning into a kid at places like this :)
Sven cracks me up all the time – ‘Take a picture of me when I eat a banana in the cabana’ :)
And this is Islands of Adventure. Same here, fun but too many people. We had fast passes to all parks, which was great, but it was still a lot of waiting for all rides.
Lite så ↑ Three parks in three days on Spring break/Påsklov was a lot. But between school and all boys hockey schedules, that was the only week that worked out for us.
Side note. I have for months been telling Oliver that we are going to Disney World to meet Mickey Mouse… well that didn’t happen! I didn’t know there are so many different parks in Orlando. Sorry Oliver, maybe another time we’ll go to Magic Kingdom.
We came back home yesterday and today we’ll enjoy a slow Sunday at home with no plans.

Hello lovely Friday!! Well these pictures are from Monday night, but I’m back in the same chair again :) Absolutely fantastic to lay down and relax after three crazy and wild day at three different theme parks here in Orlando.
First thing I did when we got here was to do a mani and pedi, can’t stand when my nails are broken and chipped. Real problems you know. Also, that thing on the phone, love it. I used to drop my phone all the time, and nope not anymore, so smart!
Our house we’ve rented thru Airbnb. Most houses here have these nets around the pools and patios, I guess to keep out bugs and other animals, me like.
Oh my. I’m turning into my mom. She always takes photos of sunsets.
Yesterday we left a freezing Michigan and a few hours later we landed in a hot Orlando, Florida. Today we’ve been to Universal Studios with a million other people, but what a cool place. Lots of fun for everyone, especially all the rides. The Transformer 4D ride were our favorite, and I’m glad the kids are fearless and want to try everything. The Simpson ride tho were too much for me and I got a little low after that one… but some sweets, water, coffee and a painkiller got me back on track!
