My garden peonies are blooming, me love!!! I also love that I finally got rid of the old coffee table. It was thirteen years old with too many scratches plus destroyed from a leaky vase. I decided to move down this black table from our bedroom… so now it’s empty in the bedroom…
Table// Bo Concept Rug// Layered Candle sticks// CB2 Vase// Restoration Hardware Blankets// Hermes and Missoni Sofa// Italmoda (also really old and need a facelift, I’m waiting for a new cover to arrive!)
The most beautiful flower in the world – I think!
You know what?! Someone told me it’s National Rose wine day (thanks Jana for the info, hehe) So time to pour up a glass of chilled rose wine :)
Cheers to you all!!
I think the sofa is the most important furniture in a living room, and this blue velvet sofa is to die for!! Peaceful and soft calm colors, mixed with polished crome and brass. And I always love to use some black details in my design to get some depth, like the mirror, picture and the legs on the side table here. A good tip when you put materials together, mix hard and soft materials, and add some wood to get a little ‘earthy’ tone for a warmer feeling, even if I like here, picked colder blue and green tones. Mix round and square shapes and have fun :) Coffee table books are always a good idea and a green plant is a must!! The bigger the better!! Same rule for the rug! This shiny viscose rug from Swedish Layered (that I have in my real living room and would pick again) puts the whole room together and makes the sofa pop!
After many sunny days I’m more than ok with a rainy day. I’m at the moment having some cozy time with Eddie-Bo in front of the fireplace and candles. We are watching a show and eating homemade chocolate balls while Oliver is at speech therapy. I love spending some one on one time with the kids.
I did pilates in the morning and had a meeting with the bank, and got some other work done. Productive day and still lots of time with the kids, me like!
And later today we have our massage therapist coming to our house, nope I’m not complaining about this day!
Solid Dark Sky rug from Layered. Free worldwide shipping, and if I compare all rugs I’ve been looking at in the States, better price!
Taadaa, like a new room! This viscose rug makes me so happy. For years, I’ve been thinking of a change of rug. It’s big and shiny, and it “dressed up” this whole area, and I love the changes of colors from silver grey, dark grey to blueish, depending on from where you are looking at it.
I suggested to hubby to get rid of one piece of the sofa and just keep the sofa straight. Well, that is not happening. Someone “owns” that corner :) You can always ask right…
Are you kidding me!! I’m like a kid at Xmas eve :) So silly that you can be so excited about a rug, haha. I saw this rug in Sweden and ever since I’ve been looking for a similar one here in the States, without any luck. When I looked at their website Layered.se and saw Shipping worldwide, guess who was fast to click on order :) More pics are coming soon, oops I thought I posted this last night!!
